I'm in the same boat as Chris Cheung.  I have tried all the above multiple times and still get the install error over and over again.  What are my next steps???  Please help...

When I try to install AVG for Mac which is downloaded from the link to CNET I am able to navigate through most of the wizard until Summary where it fails.
"The installation failed. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance."
Even when it displays a failed installation, I can't attempt the installation again unless I delete the files from AVG files from the Application support folder.
Even after deleting those files, I still have the failed installation.
Tried on another Mac as well so I suspect there may be a problem with the installer?

Thank you for providing the logs files. We need few more details to assist you better, please provide us the files from this locations as well /tmp/ folder and provide files avginit, avgpostinstall and avguserinit. Please email us the files.

I can understand how upset you must be.

I've sent you an email requesting the Diagnostics, please check your Inbox. Please also let me know which version of AVG Anti-Virus are you trying to install along with your Operating System details.

Nathan, we request you to start your own post or contact our technical chat support team (http://avgclick.me/AVGtechnical) so we can request some diagnostic logs from your device and escalate the issue to higher level for a resolution.
