the packet rule article told my all i needed. thank you 
so i have been trying to open ports, they are in fact open on my router as it works perfectly fine with AVG turned off. but with AVG turned on all the ports get blocked again, i have tried using packet rules in AVG firewall settings without success so i am probably doing something wrong. all i need is a proper working example of a packet rule so i know how its done, if you could include the correct way to input port ranges in avg too, for example 30000-31000 that would be awesome. thanks in advance
