Hi,

Has anyone noticed issues between free AVG 2015 antivirus and SQL 2008 Express? I have had to temporarily disable AVG to install and uninstall SQL 2008, specifically while:
  • Uninstalling ‘SQL Server 2008 R2 SP2 Database Engine Shared’
  • Installing ‘Install_sql_common_code_Cpu64_Action Write_NativeImage_64. Generating Native Images.’
Repeating the above with AVG Free 2015 temporarily disabled proceeds as expected. If the install/uninstall process has already started and is hung, then temporarily disabling AVG at this point does not make the process proceed; a restart of the (un)install process is required.

Any help will be most appreciated.
