This is the only thread I can find on this threat (JS:Agent-DJE [Trj]) so I'll post my question here…

One of my clients, a retail store, had a customer report this threat on their site (my client's customer was using AVG). Sure enough, the site was infected and had been for several weeks, however, it wasn't picked up by the hosting company, the IT company who manages the site, none of the employees who access the site from various devices, nor the thousands of customers who visit the site. Just one guy, using AVG…

My question is, when did AVG first identify this, and does it mean we should all be using it, LOL! Or did AVG just luck out being the first of the plethora of anti-virus, anti-malware solutions out there?

Hello Andrew,

We can certainly check this for you,

Please send me the screenshot https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201361 of the pop-up, provide me the version of AVG and Mac http://https//support.apple.com/en-us/HT201260 to assist further.

Hello,
I'm running the free version of AVG on Mac OSX 10.11.6.
I keep getting the pop-up message;
"We’ve safely removed the threat JS:Agent-DJE [Trj] from an incoming email from <my email address>"
This is rather odd as it seems to be coming from myself.
Can anyone help with this please?
With thanks,
Andrew

What do you mean by, "AVG always works in advance to update their virus definition database"?

Compared to what? Was this threat predicted, in advance? Or identified after the fact?

Hello Kody,

I will check this for you.

A recent update of AVG virus definitions must have added this detection and that is the reason why AVG detected it now.

AVG always works in advance to update their virus definition database.

This detection will soon be shared to other antivirus engines.

Thank you for your replies.
Here's the screenshot (I've blurred out the email addresses), but it appears to be from me to one of my contacts…
