I'm using AVG Antivirus free and regularly throughout the day is keeps popping up saying it has aborted on connection because it was infected with JS:CryptoNightMiner-A [Trj].
I have tried scanning my computer and restarting it but they didn't stop the popup. Anyone have any tips on what to do?
Thank you for the information.
The latest version is 18.6. We request you to perform update of AVG antivirus free.
Open AVG Antivirus free, click on "Menu–>Settings–>Update".
Click on update for both program and virus definitions and check the version status.
If it is updated to 18.6, check whether you get this threat popup.
it allowed me to update the virus definitions but wouldn't allow me to update the program from 18.5 as shown in my photo
Chaser, For your info, just in case that you are unaware, you can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on 'Answer' & then click on the 'Image' [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.

I get the threat no matter what I'm doing. I get it from watching youtube, watching livestreams, using my email and any other thing I do online

This looks like a false positive.
Open AVG Antivirus free, click on "Menu–>About" and provide the version information here.
