Since the last update a lot of AVG user are concerned by the same "JS:Nimda-B" threat warning. I scanned my Mac with an alternative virus scanner. There was no hit. I think this is a AVG problems. Please fix.
I used Finder (on All My Files) and cmd+shift+G and typed in the location of the trojan (not including the long number) given by the AVG scan, and then manually deleted the infected file. It involved typing in my password to delete it so I assume thats why AVG struggles with it.
Hello,
I updated AVG and never had a problem but now there's a threat "JS:nimda-b [Trj]" and when I try and put it into quarantine it shows the alert "cannot move to quarantine". What do I do? I already removed the app and reinstalled but did not solve the problem. I have OSX 10.12.3 with a free version of AVG AntiVirus.
Any help/advise will be highly appreciated!
Thank you.
Alan, there are already several posts in this AVG Support community since March 19 that sent screenshots with the threat "JS:nimda-b [Trj]". All user complained that the threat can not be sent to quarantine or deleted. I think there is no need for another screenshot.
It sems that only AVG users are concernded by threat "JS:nimda-b [Trj]" and that it is not a real threat but a bug since the last setup of the AVG Virus Scanner for Mac.
