With a different browser, I do not get the AVG security message.  and when i turn off AVG as instructed, the warning doesn't come up. What does this mean? and how should I proceed?

Is it a false positive? or is there an actual miner virus on google?

What must I do? As this message pops up a few times a day. I’ve performed scans and my computer finds nothing. Should I uninstall chrome and reinstall it?

Please advise.

steve

I have reinstalled Google Chrome and the problems persisted.  I ended up reinstalling windows but just after 3 days, I started getting the same message.

That's unusual.

Please let me know the version of AVG installed on your computer.

To check the version, open AVG and click on "Menu->About".

As the issue persists, we need to collect error logs from your computer.

I have sent you an email, please follow the steps from the email and send us the log files to escalate the case to our senior team for analysis.

For the past few weeks i have been getting Threat Secured Message from AVG every time I open some websites.
After closing the warning, opening the website again would load properly.  Website: dhl.co.id

Message says: We've safely aborted connection on 35.184.238.44 becuase it was infected with JS:Miner-C [Trj]

Threat name: JS: Miner-C [Trj]
Severity: 1/3
URL: http://35.184.238.44:5070/mk/2grcTHzr
Process: C:\Program Files\AVG\Antivirus\AVGSvc.exe
Directed by: Web Shield
Status: Connection aborted

Thank you for your assistance.

Steve

Hello Steve,

Yes, it's a public IP address related to Google LLC located in US. It might  be a false positive.

Please try with different browser and check if the issue persists when AVG is disabled temporarily.

Right click on AVG icon under system tray next to clock, click on toggle bar to turn on/ off Protection.

Yes, please reinstall "Google Chrome" on your computer and check if that fix the issue.

I did not keep the screenshot of the details, but I did write it out on my original post.

This is occurs on other sites intermittently. But almost every single time on the dhl site. I have never tried other browsers but will try. Currently using chrome. And from my searches I Believe IP 35.184.238.44 is one of Googles IP addresses. Correct me if I’m wrong

Hello Steve,

I will certainly check this for you.

Please share us the screenshot http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=Create-screenshot of the threat message to assist further.

Thank you. Steve.
Could you click on 'See details' and provide that screenshot? Also, please confirm if this happens on http://dhl.co.id/ only or other websites too. We'd also request to try a different web browser to load this website and check if the pop up appears.
