Hi.
Any luck in fixing your key keyboard problem?
I reported a Keyboard (remapping) virus problem early this week.
Hi Sreedevi,
Thank you for your assistance. When I booted up in safe mode the phenomenon went away. However, as soon as I re-boot normally, the problem returns. Is there any point in trying an alternative keyboard as the problem seems to be software dependent. If there is, can this be done easily on a laptop?
Thanks for your help,
Regards,
John
Hi,
I have a strange keyboard problem that started yesterday: The problem happens mostly in google chrome but also occasionally in other programs such as Microsoft Word.
The problem is as follows:
When I type, different letters to those on the keys appear. What is more, if the same key is pressed a number of times a whole sequence of different letters appears (only if strokes are repeated, holding down the key gives the same random letter over and over); this sequence iterates every 25 key strokes; all the keyboard letter keys produce the same iteration; the sequence changes from time to time but I have not worked out what causes the change, it could be a computer reboot. The current 25 letter iteration is as follows:
“ewhxsndrfoegqjkbuomwrnmcwd” (created by pressing the “q” key 25 times)
I have a Lenovo laptop PC with Windows 8.1, AVG Complete Performance and Security Package. Anyone got any ideas please?
Cheers all,
John
