I have used AVG CLEAR (in safe mode). I have also removed the AVG browser. I have no other AVG products.
The keyboard problem remains. I need an urgent solution.
Something was taking a lot of process power so i started to remove programs 1 by 1, rebooting each time. After removing AVG free, and rebooting, my keyboard has refused to work from login screen onwards. It works up to that point. Even reinstalling AVG has not restored the keyboard. Removing and reinstalling drivers has no effect. The system gives sound notification when i plug the keyboard in a new usb port.
