Kmode exception not handled error

Hello Guy,

We will check and help you to resolve it.

Could you please share the screenshot (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=AVG-Create-screenshot) of error message which you get when AVG program installed?

Do you have only AVG Internet Security insstalled or any other AVG programs?

You can post the screenshot here in your topic. Click on Answer & then click on the Image [mountain symbol] & follow the instructions.
Thanks in advance.

Hi all, I am really stumped. I recently bought a new computer with Windows 11, and installed my AVG Internet Security license. I also work from home, and need to use the Cisco Secure Mobility client, in order to connect to my employer's VPN. My employer gives us version 4.9 of the cisco client. Whenever I launch the Cisco VPN, I'm getting bluescreens that say kmode exception not handled. Uninstalling AVG, makes them go away, and my system is stable. I would much rather use AVG security, so can someone tell me what could be causing these when AVG is installed? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is a link to the minidump files as well. Microsoft OneDrive

Thanks much,

Guy

P.S. I also use a screen reader called JAWS to interact with the computer, but I don't think that's causing the issue.

We sincerely apologize for the difficulties you are currently experiencing.
I would recommend you to follow the steps mentioned in the below article, add the Cisco VPN service to the allow app & exception and check the status.

Using the Blocked & Allowed apps settings screen in AVG Internet Security

Hi there. To answer one of your questions, it is only AVG Internet Security, that I have installed. No other AVG programs. You asked me to take a screen shot, but that is impossible when the error screen appears. It is a blue screen of death, and the only option I have when that appears is to restart. As far as using another phone or camera, I am completely blind (visually impaired), so I wouldn't be able to see what I am shooting at to take a picture of it. Is there any other way I can let you see the error screen? If so, let me know, and I'd be happy to provide any information needed for you to assist me.

Thanks,

Guy

So I have some more interesting news. I did install avg again, and it seems the problems I have are actually with the firewall, not the antivirus feature itself. I uninstalled the firewall component, and my connection is stable, like it should be. Not sure what Cisco anyconnect is doing with the AVG firewall, but I am content leaving it off. That is, unless there is some way to work around this. I am done troubleshooting for the night, but I think I will take you up on that remote support at some point because now I'm curious. Thanks much for all your help.
