Lack of Support! Time wasted complaining?

Several weeks ago l was having a terrible time with viruses, chat offers from ‘Daisy’ while l looked at her boobs, ransomware, all sorts of adverts etc.etc.
I have used a few utility providers over the years including the likes of Norton.
I fond that their service had deteriorated with time and, like everyone else, they seemed more interested in selling upgrades. I had used the free AVG programme for quite a while, until Microsoft caned me for using an iffy copy of Windows 7 Pro 64bit.
It took me ages to realise that Microsoft were punishing me. They deleted a Dll file that put the mockers on things. I carried on until l had to but the real deal to get a genuine cean start. It all drove me right up the wall. They certainly got their own back.
I thus tried carious anti-virus offers, two of them were twin copies of the same site and were being fronted by the same person.  I decided to go for AGV and paid for the TuneUp and Anti-Virus segments.
I went to a deal of trouble to tell the agent that l was in deep poo and l had a job getting my problems over to him. I was sent the downloads and installation instructions but for all me efforts l just couldn’t get the installation completed.

AGV completely ig nored the fact that l hadn’t got it working so l  emailed and complained 9strongly. Eventually, after almost two weeks l had a contact from a very helpful young man who did a direct installation etc. They charge £20 for that. He took control of my PC, with my permission, and it was amazing to see him at work.
Since then l have had, as happens to all of us, some problems. I couldn’t print to my ever reliable Brother HL-5240 printer due to a driver error. All AVG want to do is sell you another segment of service cover. Drivers, HMA/VPN, Tune Up, etc. Why do you pay an up front sum and then have to fork out for so many extras.
I even got a Feedback request, and a reminder, so l had a good moad about what l didn’t like. Response = NOTHING!
How can you get past the ‘faces’ to take your complaints upstream.

That’s a bit of a carryon. Sorry if you were bored.
Question: How do you resolve a complaint with AVG?
