Laptop Cannot access desktop on local network

Hello John. Sorry to hear that. Do you mean that you lost your internet connection after upgrading to AVG Internet Security program?

I recently renewed my AVG software to AVG Internat Security 2015. Ever since, I cannot backup my laptop to my desktop. CrashPlan(backup program) says no connection. Everything worked perfect before I renewed AVG. If I disable AVG on both units it work fine.

Hello John. Thank you for the clarification. Please follow the instructions mentioned in this link: http://bit.ly/1FaBjq7 and check whether your file sharing option is Enabled. If it is disabled please enable and check whether you are able to connect to your desktop  with laptop.
