Large Download for Anti-Virus Service (com.avg.proxy)

The problem I have with this is that literally all traffic from my laptop is redirected to the proxy.avg.com for inspection and capture. I do not feel comfortable with this at all, and for this reason I will not promoting AVG through my business any more.

Dears,

I have an issue with AVG Antivirus for MAC, where I found that (com.avg.proxy) download large files, where sometimes it reach 2.5 or 3 GB as download… I don't know why this service is doing that, where it consume my internet speed and packages… and this almost happen in daily bases.

How to control that, and do I need to keep this service active and access the internet or I can block it.

We are not sure which application is taking large amount of download, it's depends which application you're using for download (the application you use more).
