I suggest you to install AVG Internet Security program and follow the below steps to enable 'Internet Sharing Mode' to check if you're able to access internet.
Open AVG Internet Security, click Menu ▸ Settings ▸ Full protection ▸ Enhanced Firewall. On the right hand side, tick the checkbox against Internet Connection Sharing mode to enable it.

For years my computer has been running fine. Then AVG did a update a few weeks ago, this is when my troubles began. I started getting a notice I was not fulled protected. Then a popup about the AVG firewall and Windows firewall. Then my Internet stopped working. I had to restart my computer every time I wanted to use the Internet. This happen even if my computer just went to sleep. It got so bad that last night I could not get on the Internet, period. My computer buddy told me to delete AVG and so I did. Works perfect now. Is there a Firewall conflict or other issues with the latest AVG update? Note, I did try to just turn off AVG protection as a test, this did not help.
