Last night, my daughter clicked on a link in Twitter that I'm afraid was a virus. I've run a full scan and it found no threats. Do I need to worry?

She said it was a bright red window that popped up.  My husband was afraid that her clicking on the "Click Here to return to safe place" might have activated a virus.  When she looked at her friends twitter account, the same link appeared to have been sent out to all of his contacts.  That's what made us think it might be a virus.  Unfortunately, I cannot purchase the GMER right now.  Tapped out for Christmas.  I did run an AVG full scan and it detected nothing.

Tess, What made you think it was a virus?.. In order to analyze it please provide AVG with GMER (http://kb.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/GMER-Scan-Result/) and AVG scan result export (http://kb.avg.com/articles/en_US/How_to/AVG-scan-result-export/).

Tess, Read the link again!! You don't have to purchase GMER. That part of the link is for if you want to buy direct AVG assistance. Just provide AVG with the GMER & scan result export requested.
