Hi Syed,
I tried doing the uninstall thru my control panel. It wasn't doing anything at all. I then did one last restart of the computer. Low and behold, it apparently worked at resetting the possible error creating the red x in the system tray. It is now back to it's standard 4 color icon and when the curser hovers over it, it says You are protected.
Opening up the whole program, I knew that I was protected regardless of what the icon showed.
Thanks for your assistance.
Marc
After last night's update, I couldn't log online. I restarted my computer and modem twice. I was finally able to do so, but now the system tray icon has a red x in it, saying that the system wasn't protected. I did a full scan, and it came up that everything was fine, but I still have the flawed system tray icon.
I don't know if anyone else has had this happen. It is a little disconcerting to see this when I know the AV is working properly.
