Latest AVG slowing down internet speeds in half

Hi Andre.
We'll certainly look into this.
If I may ask, how did you narrow down this issue to AVG?
I'd request you to disable individual components in AVG Internet Security and perform the speed test. This will help you to confirm which component is causing the issue.

Avinash asked, "If I may ask, how did you narrow down this issue to AVG?"
He went on to suggest, "I'd request you to disable individual components in AVG Internet Security and perform the speed test. This will help you to confirm which component is causing the issue."
I have been a computer technical support expert for more than 20 years.  Without reading his suggestion to try turning off various components my training had me do just that.
I can definitively confirm that AVG AntiVirus Free's Email Shield (accessed under Web & Email) is the culprit: my typical d/l speed when Email Shield in on fluctuates at around 25MBps; as soon as I turn Email Shield off there is a 2-3 second pause in the d/l and then the d/l resumes and the d/l speed quickly jumps up to the 42MBps range.
QED!
So, my question to Avinash and/or AVG is do they feel this is acceptable?

Since loading the new version (see below)  my download speeds are cut in half I have a 1GB service and my speeds are now down to 450MBS

I am on Version 20.4.3125(build 20.4.5312.580)
