"The Group Policy Client service failed the sign-in"
which locks you out of accounts. Re-imaged three times same result. Also Firewall can lock you out of your browser or other programs if you set it to interactive "Ask". This can happen because "Remember My Answer" is checked by default and there is NO "Application Rules" page to undo mistakes or set other program access.
I sense AVG is in turmoil and that does not make me feel secure..
Hello Sreedevi,
Screen shot #4 in the link you provided shows the first screen of Firewall settings. The first sentence states: For programs with no defined rules (i.e. programs not listed on the Application Rules page) do the following:
Now if you select Ask you will be prompted to Allow or Deny when you launch your Browser or other programs. Because "Remember My Answer" is selected by Default if you make a mistake and select Deny you can never use your Browser or whatever program because there is No Application Rules Page to correct this.
Please explain how making Packet Rules will help this situation or allow you to block certain applications without having a global impact. This is like pulling teeth trying to explain something so simple.
