Hello Richard,
I'm sorry to hear that your computer slowdown after computer components updates. I request you to check which AVG program (AVG Cloud care or AVG Internet Security) you have installed on your computer (please go to control panel > programs and features). Also I suggest you to reboot/restart your computer once and check if your computer is running as before. We look forward for your reply.
Best regards,
Alok.
System slowdown with Win 10 & AVG Cloudcare since 28 May 2107 update.
I got a message on 28 May 2017 stating that I needed to update my AVG Cloud Care as I was no longer protected. The control panel indicated that it was the 'Computer' element that was not protected - the rest was up to date. I gave permission and the download took place. The message I got said 'computer components' had been updated or somesuch wording. I thought nothing of it as the control panel said I was now fully protected. However since then every part of my computer's operation has slowed down. The computer takes longer to start up, much longer to open files and folders, thunderbird email, mozilla, google earth etc. And slower to close down. Everything is slower. Why? What can I do? Why would AVG recommend (insist?) that 'computer components' are updated?

Hi Alok,
I have AVG CloudCare Version 3.6.4 installed 20.05.2017 - acccording to the computer - although I downloaded the update on 28 May 2017. I've restarted the computer several times with no improvement. Thoughts? I do have a 2-year licence for AVG Internet Security renewed July 2016 (in error) but it's not installed on this computer as I have the AVG CloudCare Antivirus (annual) bought through a third party in October 2015 and renewed in October 2016. To give you an idea of how slow it is...it's taking over 60 seconds from pressing the 'print' button to the printer beginning to print!
