Unfortunately, it still does not work, at 92%  the installation stops without any error notification.
Need to hard reboot again…
AVG is completely removed…I never had any trouble installing AVG's in all those years…and can't imagine I am the only one here…

since  two days AVG insists that it should be upgraded;  I now tried twice but installation hangs somewhere  at the end …it talks about google chrome…but screens are non responsive, and laptop seems to freeze out…twice done  hard reboot to recover;;;when starting up, I see server initialisation failure…luckily machien does boot…
I need my laptop to be stable and usable…so I wait untill this is cleared by AVG.

Hi Roger,

Nice to hear form you; suspect more people have these issues…but AVG seems to react pretty standardly…I won't go into reasoning and such though…
Anyone on "ZEN"…I saw it in one of the installations; did not ask for "ZEN"  and sure not like this…
I just need upgrade of my working AVG;  now I have uninstalled all , as requested from support, and I am left unprotected asking for easy help…Windows 7 professional servicepack 1
