League of Legends blocked by AVG Internet Protection

Hi Alan,

There's a good chance I'm going to blow up your head here with this information.

- If I disable components individually, the issue persists
- If I add an exception for the whole C:\Riot Games folder (and I'm running the .exe from C:\Riot Games\League of Legends), the issue persists
- If I disable AVG entirely with the 10 minute window, and check the "Disable Firewall" button, it works fine
- If I disable AVG entirely with the 10 minute window and do NOT check the "Disable Firewall" button, it pops up asking me do I want to allow it through.

The last one is the behaviour I would normally expect, if not simply to allow it through as a trusted product anyway (as League of Legends is the most played game in the world…) - however this is not the behaviour I experience unless I do it this way.

Eámonn, Re your original post just carried out a trial fill-in with Internet Security on this article (http://avgclick.me/AVGtechnical) & only support available is either Chat or Phone.

Hi Everyone,

For some reason the "email" option for support was grayed out, the chat didn't pop up despite my popup blockers being disabled and trying in both Chrome and Internet Explorer, and I'm currently on hold for 20 minutes to get through to the call center…so here's hoping you guys can point me in a better direction.

League of Legends currently is being blocked by AVG. The launcher doesn't work correctly, just shows a black screen. Uninstalling AVG resolves the issue of course, but this is 100% replicable - simply install the Internet Security, Update, and there ya go - blocked LoL.

I can't seem to find what exactly is blocking it, whether it's the firewall etc - logs seem filled with benign blocks of Windows Services.

How can this issue be reported to AVG for resolution, as it's affecting a large portion of LoL users? Thanks!
