Hello Bill,
In general, you should be able to see the fonts clearly when you have the recommended resolution set for your computer.
We aren't sure how we could be of help on this matter.
Did you check with the device manufacturer regarding this issue?
May I ask from when you started experiencing this issue?
Is it after an update or due to change in some of the settings?
Is there any way I can improve the legibility of text on my HP all-in-one PC. Even when I shrink my screen down to mobile size (450 pixel screen width), it is too pale to read. My solution is to copy and paste into a word processor page in order to comfortably read the type matter. This seems to be a current trend among web designers to make text the palest shade of grey - it contradicts the purpose of typography which is to communicate. Does anyone else have this issue? And if so what have you done to correct it. For example, I have had to enlarge this page to 150% in order to spellcheck it.
It has got worse in the past 12 months. I had hoped for an improvement after downloading AVG Chrome browser but it's the same on Edge browser as well. My computer is a three year old HP all-in-one Pavilion PC 64 bit. The type is grey and there isn't anyway to make it darker. That would be the job of the designer when setting up his CSS. This screen is now set at 150%. I have tried reducing the brighness but that doesn't help. I will attach a screen shot.

We understand your concern & appreciate your efforts in sharing us the screenshot, Bill.
Would you be so kind to share us the screenshots of the other pages with which you're experiencing the same issue?
