LenovoVantage-(SmartPerformanceAddin).exe attempted access to chrome passwords?

Hello,

i have the latest version of AVG Internet Security and even though i upgraded to this version since a copule of months and Lenovo Vantage was already installed, today I received for the first time a warning from AVG that apparently blocked an attempt of access to my Google Chrome passwords and prompted me for confirmation. I blocked the access, but I'm wondering why this happened. Are there any known false positives related to this executable? Are there any known problems in Smart Performance that could cause this?

I firstly scanned the interested file and then ran a system scan after the prompt appeared but it didn't detect anything

Hi Matteo,
