I understand this must be upsetting. AVG Internet Security - Unlimited will automatically detect the newly renewed subscription if you had logged in to AVG program with AVG MyAccount email address and password. If you can access the program's dashboard, please follow the steps below to complete the activation.
1. Open AVG Internet Security or Anti Virus Free.
2. Click on My AVG -> My Subscription.
3. Click Login. (If you don't see this option, click Logout or Remove license to see it).
4. Type in your email address and password, click Login again.
If you can not open the AVG Internet Security dashboard, please uninstall the currently installed program and re install it. Click on this link for steps to uninstall AVG.
Then click on this link on how to download and install AVG Internet Security.
Upon successful installation, complete the activation as per the steps provided above.
I received a warning tonight to say that my licence has expired on my AVG Internet Protection even though it had been automatically renewed on the 8th of March. I can't use the button on the warning message to activate the licence. The e-mail confirmation of the renewal contains the following info:
Your AVG Internet Security subscription has been automatically renewed, and your payment card has been charged the amount below. Aside from keeping this email as your proof of purchase, you don't need to do anything except enjoy your ongoing subscription.
