I had trouble with my licence renewal, which I solved eventually, but before this called the help line.
The issue had been that after paying the fee, a confirmation window popped up saying words to the effect of 'thanks for renewing, just close the window and carry on - nothing else to do'.
This wasn't the case.
My AVG window still said AVG had expired
After trying various things I gave up and called the help line.
He couldn't fix it, tried for about half an hour, reloading avg, rebooting etc, then passed it on to someone who logged on to my pc. He gave up fairly quickly, did some kind of diagnostic thing, said look out for an email from AVG and logged off without even asking me to confirm that I'd seen his message. I have a screen shot if you want it.
I fixed it myself by deleting the licence.

We regret for the inconvenience caused.
Generally, when you are enrolled into automatic renewal, your AVG subscription installed on your computer will get extended automatically.
Whereas, when you this renewal manually from your end, then you need to reload the renewed license on your computer(in case of unlimited version, we need to relogin to your AVG MyAccount from the AVG interface).
That's bad you have to go through all this escalations for the activation issue.
