Licence renewal

I find a box on my screen telling me I need to renew in order to restore all features. This seems to have come from AVG(although no heading in the box). I do not understand as my licence runs until next yr april 2016

By a proces of deduction I have found out that this prompt referred to Driver Update software and not to Internet Security - it would have been very helpful if this had been made a lot more clear. I have now uninstalled this software.
