Thanks for your answer. I have today logged on to my avg account through the renewal notification e-mail and can find no way to access my card details to check that they are up to date (which I think they will not be).
So what happens now. Do I wait for the renewal process to be activated or is there some other way to resolve this.

I can see that your AVG Internet Security subscription is set to renew automatically with your existing card details. The renewal will happen 15 days prior to the expiration date. If you wish to change the card details you can use the link in the automatic renewal notification email.

I recently received notification that my AVG Internet Security Licence is due for renewal.
