George, Try using the offline installer. You actually need either the 32 or 64bit file from this link (http://free.avg.com/download-free-all-product). I've been cleaning a friend's PC that was riddled with malware, etc. I believe it's clean now so I've gone to install AVG Free for him. I've run the installer and when I get to the license agreement, I see this.
I've tried redownloading AVG. I've not yet tried installing offline or in safe mode. I thought I'd ask if this is a result of his PC STILL being infected? Or is there a glitch with the installer?
