License Expiration

Hi, Avinash (AVG Technologies) -

   I have NOT purchased the AVG Ultimate in question since I remain confused about the duration of the subscription period. I may buy the download version from Newegg today if I would just have my AVG Ultimate question answered. 

   If the subscription period starts from the date of registration, at what point in time is the subscription considered to be registered - once I finish downloading the program onto my system today or only when I manually input, if I could, the activation code itself two months or three years from today?

When I purchase AVG Ultimate and install it by download from Newegg.com on May 10, 2015, does it mean that the one-year AVG license will expire on May 10, 2016? Thank you very much.
