License number not being accepted

I just purchased AVG Driver Updater, but the license number, which I copied and pasted directly from the purchase confirmation, is not being accepted.  The program just says "There was a problem while trying to activate.  Please check your serial number and make sure that you are connected to the Internet."  Please advise.  Thank you.
