I did the process explained in the article. The CD program that I am trying to install was not in the file list under 'application or file'. I typed the program name of the CD for exclusion and it was saved but when I tried to install the program AVG antivirus stated setup.exe (IDP.virusE2B4537) file setup.exe. Please help this did not work in allowing me to install my program. Thank-you

I just recently downloaded the free version of AVG as my son recommended your product. I am a healthcare practitioner and use a software program to assess clients. After I installed the AVG protection I was unable to launch my health program that I had as a shortcut on my desktop. The message read that the shortcut was no longer available. I went into programs to open my program manually and still would not open. I have been using this program for 3 years with no problems opening it until I downloaded AVG. I have lost ALL my client data as I uninstalled my health program, rebooted my windows computer, then tried to reinstall my health software (as I said I need this for my business) the program initiated installation, AVG asked if the program could make changes to my computer, I replied "yes", and then AVG stopped installation. How can I download my software without having to uninstall AVG? Thanks for your help as I would like to continue with AVG.

Could you please let us know whether you have tried to add the specified exe files to the exception list and whether it is displayed on the list of exception program on your AVG, If the issue persists please provide us with the screenshot of the error message you have received so that we could assist you better in resolving the issue.
