Local ports for multiple POP3/IMAP and multiple SMTP

I have followed the advice in | AVG and have successfully set up the first of my emailaccounts using local ports 5300 and 5400 for POP3 and SMTP respectively. There is no guidance as to what local port numbers to use when you have more than one SMTP or more than one POP3/IMAP connection. When I tried to specify 5300 and 5400 numbers for my other mail accounts, AVG refused them of course! I tried allocating incremented port numbers 5301, 5302 and 5401, 5402. AVG set up accepted them but they failed when used in my e-mail client (Outlook 2016). What are the rules for local port numbers in AVG when hadnling miotre than one e-mail account?
