Locked access to my files, will not let them open

Hi Mike.
Are you able to startup your PC?
What would be the exact error message that you receive when trying to access files on your PC?
Are you being asked to enter a password when you tried opening AVG Internet Security?

My desktop PC has been locked out by AVG Security software after, I presume, hacker attempt to access he protected area.  I guess that means all the files.  No I can't access the AVG Ultimate package as I'm being asked for a password I know nothing about.  Is there another security password which I should have noted?  my account password is not it.
