Logging into On Demand Video Services from Overseas

I disagree.  My AVG VPN doesn't allow me to watch BBC Iplayer or some Amzon content from abroad.  However my Norton VPN on my work laptop does. Its an issue with AVG not the website providers in my experience.  If you have a solution please let me know, otherwise would love to get my subscription cancelled as this is a waste.

We're sorry for the delay in response. The issue you are experiencing with AVG Secure VPN is due to VPN server that you are connected to. Please open AVG Secure VPN, click 'Change Location' > Streaming and connect to UK:Wonderland. Let us know if the issue persists with streaming.

I understand that you are unable to access BBC website with AVG Secure VPN enabled, even the VPN location is London.
Some service providers block VPN traffic(block users using VPN), the major being Netflix and BBC. This is an issue on provider’s side and we cannot influence it.

I had hoped that a side issue of AVG Secure VPN would be to indicate that my Location was still London, and I could then log onto UK On Demand video services, but no.  I still get message "BBC iPlayer only works in the UK."

Is there any way around this?

In fact I am connected to "UK:Wonderland".  Now back in the UK.  Being in UK and connected to Secure VPN, downloading is working fine.  So somehow it knows when I am overseas.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused, normally VPN access will block few streaming websites.

We are not sure how Norton VPN works as we are not supposed to review on other 3rd party programs.

However we will escalate the case to our senior team to know how to resolve this issue with our AVG Secure VPN program.

We would appreciate your patience in this matter.
