You will need to add https://login.microsoftonline.com/* to the Web Shield Exceptions. AVG Control>Menu>Settings>Components Customize Web Shield Select exceptions on left nav. Be sure the web sheild is turned on and the "URLs to exclude" is checked.

AVG is blocking https://login.microsoftonline.com with the error message :- Secure Connection Failed.
How can this be - I've been using this address for several years now without a problem.
Sorry but the problem is back this morning.
Hi - Not sure I can see the mountain symbol but it seems the answer to my problem was a simple reboot - all appears to be working fine for now.

I suggest you update your AVG Internet Security Virus Definitions and check if that fixes the issue.
To update your AVG, please go to Internet Security>Menu>Settings>Update and then click on Update.
