Loss of internet connection when using NordVPN connection with AVG Internet Security

I have had AVG Internet Security for quite some time and have had no problems getting an internet connection. I recently installed NordVPN but I have not been able to receive an internet connection once I connected via VPN.

I was only able to have an internet connection if I have turned off AVG Internet Security's Enhanced Firewall. Is there a way for me to connect via NordVPN but while still keeping AVG Internet Security Enhanced Firewall on?

I have tried the following (and combinations of the following) to have a VPN connection while keeping the Enhanced Firewall on:

  • Settings > Basic Protection > Enhanced Firewall > Enabled "Allow Internet Connection Sharing Mode"
  • Settings > Basic Protection > Enhanced Firewall > View Firewall Rules > Application Rules > ALLOW all NordVPN related applications
  • Changing my WiFi connection between private and public network
My AVG Internet Security version is 22.11.3261 (build 22.11.7716.759).

There are no issues with the internet connection as other devices could connect as normal. 

Is there a way for me have an internet connection via NordVPN but while still keeping AVG Internet Security Enhanced Firewall on?
