Lost ability to connect to the internet and receive emails

Hi there.  I have just tried this but sadly had no luck.

Sorry to know that you are unable to connect to the internet and receive emails. To confirm whether this issue is caused due to AVG program we have to disable the AVG program temporarily and check it.

I am hoping that someone can help me please.
I have used AVG for many years and this is the first time I have had problems.
There was a total computer scan on the 19th Oct at  11.26pm.
Since then connecting to  the internet or receiving emails does not work.
My modem is working and computer says I am connected to my provider.
I am also connected to 2 wifi printers and they are working.
I am connecting at the moment via my mobile sharing.

This is the second time this has happened and  last time I took it to a computer guy to have fixed.
I really do not wont to do that again.
Hope someone can help and hopefully you are able tro understand what I mean
I am not a very good computer problem solver :-)

I am sorry that your Internet connection isn't working. As other devices are working when connected to same network, the network interface card of the computer may not be functioning correctly.
