to download and run the AVG Remover tool.
Please select the AVG products which are shown in the remover tool window and then start removal process.
After the remover tool process is successfully finished, restart your pc.
After the restart, manually delete the AVG Remover folder in the C drive of Mycomputer.
Now, try to install your product and you should be fine.

Hello, I upgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 10 yesterday. I just found out today that my AVG programme no longer seems to be there, although all my other software seems intact. I think i may have some kind of virus that is preventing me from re-installing AVG now. I was running Pro on the 30 day trial period with a view to buying it. After installing windows 10 I cannot find any sign that AVG is running so I tried to download free version to reinstall, but installation fails with error code 0xe0010053.
Anybody got any idea how to get out of this?
