Lp.player and kingsdowns

Actually, update to the above, it's not just SMH, it's everything on firefox.   My wife prefers chrome which doesn't have an issue (as yet) so I might have to change if I can't fix this soon.

Hello Chris. Sorry to hear about the inconvenience caused. Please note that no AV product is capable of providing you with 100% protection although AVG are always working 24/7.

AVG would recommend to start with uninstalling all unknown/unused programs and browser addons.

Hi all, I have just started having problems with the above malware when I am using firefox, seemingly only on the SMH website.   I have AVG anti-virus 2015 which is detecting and securing lp.player but the virus then switches to kingsdowns (which anti-virus is not detecting and a number of other adware/malwares which seem to follow each other fairly rapidly).   I have done scans with no result and have also checked that there are no relevant firefox add-ons nor any programs which I can uninstall, which is the regular advice given when I google a fix. I also went to the AVG helpsite and finished up purchasing Sparktrust PC clean which detected a large number of problems but not the ones to help me get rid of this malware. Can anyone help please?
