Lucky Beginning

Hello David, sorry to hear about the inconvenience. I would request you to go to your control panel and check if there is a program called Lucky savings or Lucky savings widget and uninstall them. Then please try to reset IE to default settings ( http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/reset-ie-settings#ie=ie-11).

I have exactly the same problem as David. I will follow up to find out the solution.
David: "Start In" shows HOMEDRIVE %% HOMEPATH%% is ok. My office computer is the same way and it does not have the problem. I had the Delta Homes problema and was able to remove it manually.

I managed to get delta-holmes removed. Follow the steps:
(Solved) How to Remove Delta Homes Page? (Removal Help)

Sorry, Nalin. I didn't go into regedit (because I did not want to!). I was following steps suggested when I googled "deltahomes removal"… I'm not sure what Luiz (above) did. (Thanks for your comment, Luiz).

I suggest you be persistent with asking AVG to help you.

It puzzles me that for what is now apparently a common incidence of Lucky Beginnng and deltahomes, that their product is not updated to deal with it…

Best lo luck.

David

David, Can you share how you manually removed "delta-homes" from Chrome? My problem is correcting the registry especilly where the entries are with "displayName", "HKEY, "TopResultURL".

I am also struggling to remove "Lucky Beginning" in IE.

Thanks

Nalin

I bought AVG Anti-Virus specifically to get rid of delta-homes and lucky Beginning malware.
It didn't.
I was eventually able to remove delta-homes manually (I think).
But Lucky Beginning on IE is an addon I cannnot disable (enable and disable are greyed out). It is from Giner Teck Inc and  lists as Lucky Class Tab. The ie home page is OK, but every time I open a new tab I get about:blank and Lucky Beginning.
I don't want to go into regedit and really expect AVG to help me here!
David
