I have the same problem with a 2014 Mac Mini running OS High Sierra 10.13.3.  Was this issue ever resolved?

My Mac crashes and restarts when I attempt to run deep or Mac scan.
Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling AVG.
When Mac restarts it resets the clock to 2001 and changes desktop photo (I can change the clock back but not the photo).
I have a MacBook Pro 15 inch mid 2010 running OS X Yosemite (version 10.10.5).
