Hello Chris,
may I ask what version of the OS are you running? Anyway, if you go to Preferences -> Users & Groups -> Your account -> Login Items you can see there the LaunchAgents folder? If so, please remove it from Login Items. It should solve your problem.
If this was the case, I would be really interested whether reinstallation of AVG will add this folder back into LoginItems. It is not happening for me and I am not aware of us doing this at all. I have tested on macOS 10.11 El Capitan while using the latest version of AVG found on CNET.
Thanks for your patience.
Best regards,
Jakub
Hello Chris,
Please be informed that the LaunchAgents folders are locations that contain scripts to automatically manage system processes. Do you encounter any pop up regarding LaunchAgents in startup of your PC? If so, please let us know how are you relating it with AVG. Please let us know whether the pop up is not appearing when you uninstall AVG from your PC. If possible, please share the screenshot of the pop up to assist further.
