not a problem at all, once again im on the Beta mac os High sierra 10.13.4 Beta 1 Public release, this why we test such product and let everyone know. I tested 5 FREE AV products and they all do the same thing and same behavior actually, so its def the OS update that broke it. AVAST is the only AV for MAC that installs NORMAL and Functions Normal. Please Keep me posted, i would love to return to AVG AV, thank you so much and if you need me to try and send you some logs or anything else from me end, please let me know and I can work with you to help you guys out also.
Since the Release of Mac os high Sierra 10.13.4 Beta AVgh Antivirus no longer laod or works with mac OS, because it has to be 64 bit application probably, un isntall or reinstall does not work!
Dima, As stated by Balasubramanian (AVG Technologies) compatibility between a beta version of an OS & AVG can't be guaranteed. Once the OS final version has been released it will be fully supported. This has always been the case with AVG.
AVG Guru
I've also just started experiencing this same problem, after installing the OSX Beta 10.13.4 this morning. Can you suggest any method of protection, on an interim basis?
Thank you.

Once the AVG install goes through, you cannot open AVG program by clicking on the ICON nothing happens, and the service does not RUN, the ICON does not load in the uppser right hand corner of the screen! you also cannot uninstall the application the normal way, the only way to unisntall it is to use CCleaner and go in there to the unisntall option and pick the program and unisntall it that way! also if you try to install Sophos Antiviris it does the same exact thing… SO Something changed in Mac OS 10.13.4 BEta 1 OS, please let developers know about thsi issue, so they can get to work on it right away and work with Apple to resolve the issue and provide updated AVG version tht works. Im an IT ADMIN and a beta tester for MAc os and IOS, this is a serious bug in AVG application and or/ MAC OS it self
David the only Antivirus that i was able to get installed and funtioning properly is Sophos AV, download Sophos and extract the zip file, after zip file has been extracted right click on the sophos install file and say exctract package, one the package has been extraced go into MAC OS folder and run the install file, the installer will run and Sophos AV will be installed… any other way and the install will not run. Sophos works great right now and i have it installed for 24 hours or more with out any issues so fat… therte is no work around for AVG or other AV out there by other companies.
