Hi all, hope you can help. Have been advised by AVG technical support to ask for assistance on here.
I have a Macbook Pro, mid-2010, and I recently upgraded the operating system to Yosemite.
Since then, my AVG LinkScanner is not working properly. Surf-shield says one or more plugins are not active (but it doesn't specify which ones, nor how I can rectify the situation) and Search-shield is inactive, despite being turned on in settings. Again, there's no explanation as to how to sort this. It is fully up-to-date, so not sure why these faults are occurring.
The error message is here:
Also, my AVG Antivirus crashes at 60% completion - and that's after a 24-hour scan. Again, there's no help available in the software to sort the problem. If I rescan, it always crashes at 60%
I'm tempted just to uninstall both products and find one that works properly, but AVG has worked well over the years, so I don't really want to do that.
Has anyone else had problems since upgrading to Yosemite?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.
All the best,
Tim
Thanks Alan. That's the support link I used initially, and the reply I received was to ask for help on this forum!
Hopefully, someone from Brno will get in touch in due course.
Thanks again,
All the best,
Tim
