MacBooster Pro 8 and "MacOS:Bundlore-CX [PUP]"

I am having the same issue.  Can I get some assistance on this?

MACBOOSTER 8 pro IS SAFE and should not be quarantined. I have been using MacBooster to get my computer througoughly cleaned ! I was shocked at how many gigs you can free up by doing a SCAN with a purchased Mac Cleaner.  You also will have one click easy to remove applications(in their entirity) and duplicate files that you did not know even had that many duplicates with one click. You can free up RAM and GB's on your hard drive. It removes virus and malware, and on top of all that, you can throughly clean out cookies and cache from every browser.

Simple go to your AVG and hit COMPUTER.  You will see QUARANTINE.  CLICK ON IT, AND THEN ADD THE MACBOOSTER 8 FILES BACK BY CLICKING THE 3 DOTS AND RESTORE THEM ALL. YOU MAY HAVE TO DO THIS MORE THAN ONCE, and you may need to download the MacBooster 8 again before it finally stops quarantine'ing them.  I hope this answers your questions. If you have any issues, feel free to email me at jordanzeh@gmail.com and subject "AVG Quesiton"

Hi Everyone,

I just downloaded AVG AntiVirus (19.5, free basic) and Malware Bytes two days ago. While running an AVG Anti-Virus deep scan of my MacBook Pro (13 inch mid-2012) running Catalina (macOS 10.15.4), it identified  "MacOS:Bundlore-CX [PUP]" as a threat and quarantined it. I ran a second scan using Malware Bytes and it removed MacBooster Pro 8 from my computer. I bought MacBooster Pro 8 directly from the vendor IObit and have been using it since December 2019 without any problem. After looking for anything online about MacBooster behaving like malware or being infected with viruses and finding nothing, I tried to re-install it. In the final step of reinstallation, AVG identified and quarantined MacBooster 8 because "it was infected with MacOS:Bundlore-CX [PUP]" and wouldn't let me reinstall MacBooster Pro 8. Can someone help me understand this? Has anyone else had this problem before, know about MacBooster Pro 8 being malware or infected with viruses when directly downloaded from the vendor? Thanks very much.

We have already received the screenshots, Peter.

If you suspected file is not familiar, I suggest you to select the files and click on delete, so it will be completely removed from your PC.

Also, my colleague has sent an email with the steps to connect to our remote experts to check further.
