Hi all, I'm thinking to invest in a Mac compatible Software application for retrieving "permanently" deleted items that is the best in terms of effectiveness, safety, security and all round compatibility with Mac.  I'm currently in MacOS High Sierra. I've realised such a package can be handy in terms of conveniently reversing deletion decisions that turned out to be wrong or hasty.  Recovering the items would be so much easier than having to replicate them all over again.  I trialled two such applications from the Internet, one of which AVG promptly identified as carrying malware.  Phew! Was I glad you guys had my back!   Yet it's out there in the market place brazenly advertising itself as the best etc.  The other was OK in that regard, passed the AVG firewall, and the trial appeared to be successful, noting only that the initial scanning process was pretty time consuming.  That product was 4DDiG, however keen to get AVG professional opinion.  Thanks for your advice
