Hello Lieven,
I understand the inconvenience caused. Those instructions are applicable for the older version of AVG. Did you disable AVG temporarily and check if that resolves the issue? Right click on AVG system tray icon and toggle the Protection button to disable AVG protection. If the issue is resolved after disabling AVG, please make sure that the AVG firewall has configured with below recommended settings.
Open AVG Internet Security->Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->Customize->Network Profile and change it to Private.
Open AVG Internet Security->Menu->Settings->Components->Firewall->Customize->Policies->System Rules and set all rules to "Enabled".
Hi,
Our outloo 2016 doesn't function anymore since we installed AVG. On this blog I found this info from Hariharkumar Lakshmi (AVG Technologies)
… go to your firewall settings and click on the tab which lists all the rules for applications (The tab is called "Applications"). You then find the ones labeled Host Process for Windows Services. The Domains for these applications should be: "C://Windows/System32/svchost.exe and C://Windows/SYSWOW64/svchost.exe"
Enable/Allow these to bypass the firewall and the app should be working…
Now windows mail functions well but outlook 2016 still doesn't. Does anyone know the domains for outlook 2016?
Lieven

thanks for the info but my problems are not yet solved…
once I had disabled AVG, I could already re-install one e-mail account, the second one won't work but maybe that's a mather of time and patience…
But your explanation to change the settings if a problem to me: where can I change this? When I open the AVG there's no possibility to go to menu>setting>…
Can you show me this in pics? or is there a website to see how to do it?
