Hi,

As mentioned above, I've attempted to access a hotmail mailbox at imap-mail.outlook.com and a googlemail mailbox at imap.gmail.com.

The problem is that the certificate supplied by AVG to MailKit as part of the initial handshake will not verifiy. If I were to read the one exported from AVG manually, then it will verify but the certificates are different as listed in the original post.

Have tested against imap-mail.outlook.com and imap.gmail.com, also have used javax.mail with java and S22.Imap and MailKit with C#.

These are the correct email servers.

Please let me know the version of AVG installed on your computer.

We will certainly help you with the necessary information.

How it works is that AVG is communicating with the e-mail server using original certificate. Later, AVG modifies the certificate and uses it to communicate between AVG and e-mail client. Exporting of certificate is needed only when default method doesn't work.

May I know the email server you use?
