Malware not found by AVG

Hi Alessandro,

We are sorry for any inconvenience caused by this issue.

Attackers very often alter their code to avoid detection which means that sometimes threats aren't picked up as they should be.

If you have a sample of the exe you can submit it for analysis via our website: False Positive File Form
Our labs will quickly add it to our definitions.

Hi, 
We use a Corporate AVG license for 200 workstations using centralize AVG Admin console.
Now on our workstation we have a program version=3495 and database version=4253/8792 (23/12/2914)

This morning we received a suspect (.EXE) e-mail attachment that we scanned with our AVG with result as legitimate file.

Then for security we uploaded that file to https://www.virustotal.com for scan and it found:

Avast - Win32:Malware-gen    20141223
Avira - TR/Gamarue.A.1106    20141223
DrWeb - Trojan.Siggen.65341    20141223
ESET-NOD32 - Win32/TrojanDownloader.Wauchos.AF    20141223
Ikarus - Trojan-Spy.Zbot    20141223
Kaspersky    Trojan-Ransom.Win32.Foreign.lhph    20141223
Sophos    Troj/Agent-AKXF
AVG - OK (!!!)
