Menachem, AVG IS does provide malware protection (http://www.avg.com/internet-security) [Scroll Down]. If you are thinking about using any additional scan protection ensure that it doesn't feature any real-time residential protection.

I have been using AVG iNTERNET SECURITY for several years and it works well.  I hadn't thought much about the Malware threat, but recently was offered WinZip's Malware package.  Does AVG IS adequately defend against Malware, or should I add on a specific program for Malware?
